Australian Horse Racing Tips – 14 May 2020

Horse Racing

With another action-packed midweek schedule of horse racing from all across Australia, Thursday morning promises to offer a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Belmont, Hamilton, Cairns, and Wyong.

On that note, for those of you who are looking to put on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of noteworthy tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Thursday morning.

Betting Tip: SALSA MAN top-three finish – 11/10 @ Bet365

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

07:35 AM – Wyong – Race 7

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at the BM64 Handicap (1350m) meeting at Wyong and one four-year-old who should be confident of building on a notable run of form.

With a growing reputation for becoming a blossoming track specialist in New South Wales, trainer Paul Perry saw his gelding finish under a length behind winner DARLEB at his last start in Wyong. In fact, along with claiming a place finish in each of his last four starts on the bounce, SALSA MAN has managed to land a top-three finish in seven of his previous eight starts at Thursday’s course.

Holding a place percentage of 44% and enjoying the brightest run in his short career, we’re backing SALSA MAN to extend on that tally at Wyong in midweek.

Betting Tip: I’M PRETTY win – 5/2 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

08:50 AM – Belmont – Race 5

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to the Class Five Handicap meeting (1400m) at Belmont.

Putting in yet another eye-catching display at Pinjarra Park over another 1400m distance last time out, I’M PRETTY is certainly enjoying a stellar run of form. Eventually claiming victory over TRUMP THIS by half a length, trainer Adam Durrant has seen his four-year-old take the win in two of her last three starts. Rightfully opening Thursday’s meeting as a favourite with the bookmakers, the talented mare also has previous for enjoying her trips to Belmont.

Claiming back-to-back wins in Western Australia last year, including a victory in the Class 1 Handicap, there is no doubt that I’M PRETTY should be too strong for the chasing pack at Belmont in midweek.
