With what appears to be another exciting midweek of horse racing action from all across Australia, Wednesday morning promises to offer us a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Kensington, Ballarat, Balaklava, and Pinjarra Park.
On that note, for those of you who are looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are certainly worth keeping an eye out for on Wednesday morning.
06:45 AM – Kensington – Race 6
For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at the BM70 (1300m) meeting at Kensington.
Despite opening his last start at Warwick Farm at extremely long odds, LIVE THE MOMENT certainly gained plenty of plaudits for another eye-catching display. Eventually finishing third and within touching distance of BOLD AND WILD in another BM70 meeting, trainer Peter Robl has been filled with praise for his four-year-old. In fact, along with securing a top-three finish in six of his eight starts this year, LIVE THE MOMENT also has a reputation for his performances at Kensington. Securing back-to-back second-place finishes in his last starts at Randwick on a pair of 1400m distances, he should also be excited by conditions in midweek.
Holding a place percentage of 50% and enjoying arguably the brightest run of his short career, we’re backing another fruitful morning for LIVE THE MOMENT on Wednesday morning.
09:45 AM – Pinjarra Park – Race 8
For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Pinjarra Park and the Class Five Handicap (1200m) meeting.
Despite only finishing in the middle of the pack at Ascot last month, all eyes will undoubtedly be on a returning SHERPA LASS this week. Enjoying what has been a stellar maiden campaign, the four-year-old has claimed the win in three of his last four starts, including back-to-back victories in the Graduation Handicap over 1100m and 1200m.
Holding a glittering win percentage of 80% and likely to once again favour the dryer conditions in Western Australia, trainer Daniel Morton should find the confidence in his stable at a continued high. A clear standout pick on Wednesday morning, we’re backing SHERPA LASS to land the victory in what is a debut run at Pinjarra Park in midweek.
