With the Australian horse racing scene continuing behind closed doors this week, Thursday morning promises to offer us a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Belmont, Townsville, Hawkesbury, and Seymour.

On that note, for those of you who are looking to put on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of interesting tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Thursday morning.

Betting Tip: ROMAN FLINT win – 13/8 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

08:45 AM – Belmont – Race 7

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at the RTG 52+ Handicap (1600m) meeting at Belmont.

Putting in what was a career-best performance at Bunbury earlier in the month, ROMAN FLINT managed to pick up a maiden victory over MISS MALIBU by a length. With the training duo of Daniel and Ben Pearce heavily praising their four-year-old in the build-up to Thursday’s meeting, the talented mare should also be boosted by the news that William Pike will be retaining the ride in midweek.

Also catching the eye with what was a close-fought second-place finish at Ascot last month, ROMAN FLINT has managed to land at least a top-three finish in six of her last seven starts. While she might face a tricky test on Thursday morning, we’re backing the standout four-year-old to secure back-to-back wins at Belmont this week.

Betting Tip: WHIM CREEK win – 10/3 @ William Hill

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

08:10 AM – Belmont – Race 6

For our second Tip of the Day, we once again stay at Belmont and turn our attention to one three-year-old who is enjoying a flying start to his career.

With plenty of buzz from across Australia around the speedy three-year-old, WHIM CREEK managed to land a maiden win at Bunbury last month after beating KUDAWOULDASHOULDA by almost a length over 1108m. Also impressing after claiming the victory in an open trial at Bunbury on another dry track back in March, trainer Stephen Miller is expecting big things from his gelding.

While late money is also expected to come in for DANI BELLA (13/2 with Bet365), we’re backing what could be another standout run for WHIM CREEK on Thursday morning.
