Looking ahead to what promises to be another exciting weekend of horse racing action from all across Australia, Friday morning offers us a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Canberra, Coffs Harbour, Cranbourne, and Stawell.

On that note, for those of you who are looking to put on a weekend flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Friday morning.

Betting Tip: RACKETEERING win – 5/1 @ Coral

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

07:25 AM – Coffs Harbour – Race 8

For our opening Tip of the Weekend, we take a look at one of the few Class 1 meetings at Coffs Harbour over 1305m.

Coming off the back of what was a rampant display and landing a maiden victory at Grafton earlier in the month, all eyes will once again be on RACKETEERING this week. Building off of what was another eye-catching display and a silver medal finish on the Gold Coast last month, trainer Lisa Sheppard saw her three-year-old beat BYRON BOUY by almost three and a half lengths last time out in New South Wales.

While late money is expected to come in for a returning SHAMAMOUR (15/2 with Bet365) after impressing at an open trial in Gosford, we’re backing RACKETEERING to make it back-to-back wins on Friday morning.

Betting Tip: BOOMSTOCK win – 2/1 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

11:00 AM – Cranbourne – Race 6

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Cranbourne and the BM70 (1600m) meeting in Victoria.

While BOOMSTOCK may have been very narrowly beaten by ZACHAZ at Friday’s course in his last start, the four-year-old has gained a list of admirers and will rightfully open this weekend’s meeting as a favourite with the bookmakers. Collecting back-to-back second-place finishes at Cranbourne and Pakenham Park, trainer Mick Price certainly has a talented gelding on his hands. Along with only failing to secure a place finish in one of his last nine starts, it should also be noted that BOOMSTOCK claimed victory at Cranbourne in a BM64 meeting back in October.

Expected to put in another eye-catching performance on favourable conditions on Friday morning, we’re backing victory for BOOMSTOCK at Cranbourne this week.
