With another action-packed week of horse racing action from across Australia, Thursday morning promises to offer a string of lively meetings from the likes of Pakenham Park, Newcastle, and Bunbury.

On that note, for those of you who are fancying a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide from across the Australian racing scene to find you a couple of noteworthy tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Thursday.

Betting Tip: TROPHIES GALORE win – 5/1 @ William Hill

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

07:50 AM – Newcastle – Race 7

For our first Tip of the Day, we make our way to Hunter Coast and the Sharp Electronics Cond (1200m) at Newcastle. In a race that hosts a string of exciting options, there is no doubt that trainer Andrew Robinson will be looking for 4-year-old TROPHIES GALORE to build off an eye-catching display at this very course a fortnight ago.

Finishing second at Newcastle on a soft track over 1200m, she also recorded a victory at Muswellbrook over a similar length last month. Expected to once again enjoy the turf after shining in drier conditions, including a win on the Hunter Coast over 1300m back in November, she should be looking to build on a 26.3% winning record this year.

While HARDSPOT might be pencilled in as the bookies’ favourite at 14/5 with Bet365 for Thursday morning after securing her own victory last time out at Newcastle, we’re backing TROPHIES GALORE to extend on a recent purple patch.

Betting Tip: THEE ONE win – 10/11 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

09:00 AM – Pakenham Park – Race 3

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at the Maiden Plate (1600m) at Pakenham Place and one three-year-old who rightfully takes its spot as the favourite on Thursday morning.

Finishing a very marginal second place behind STEAMBOAT ROCK on what was a heavy track at this very course three weeks ago, trainer Danny O’Brien’s Filly should be relishing a softer race in midweek. In fact, THEE ONE has placed at all three of her previous meetings at Pakenham Park, including another eye-catching silver medal finish over 1400m on soft ground last month.

Holding a 100% place record in the 2019/2020 calendar, we’re backing THEE ONE to pick up what will be a maiden victory in Tynong on Thursday. Elsewhere, after also running second at Pakenham over 1400m a fortnight ago, ROYELLE (21/10 @ Betfair) will be looking to extend on her 50% place tally.
