Australian Horse Racing Tips – 30 April 2020

Horse Racing

With another action-packed race schedule from across Australia, Thursday promises to offer a string of eye-catching meetings from the likes of Pakenham Park, Cairns, Wagga Wagga, and the Sunshine Coast.

On that note, for those of you who are looking to put on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of noteworthy tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Thursday morning.

Betting Tip: SHE’S A TREASURE win – 10/3 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

04:50 AM – Wagga Wagga – Race 3

For our first Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Wagga Wagga and The Daily Advertiser (bm66). Putting in what was a noteworthy run at Goulburn over 1600m a fortnight ago, SHE’S A TREASURE appears to be enjoying a recent purple patch.

Only finishing just over a length behind eventual winner and three-year-old talent APICIUS in New South Wales, trainer Matthew Dale also saw his MARE secure another place finish at Sapphire Coast over 1408m last month. Always appearing to enjoy her most successful outings on softer tracks, there is no doubt that the five-year-old should be relishing a meeting against a flattering field.

While RENT A ROCK (11/4 with Betfair) might open Thursday’s meeting as a favourite with the bookmakers, we’re backing SHE’S A TREASURE to come out on top at Wagga.

Betting Tip: HELL ON TURF win – 11/4 @ Betfair

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

05:18 AM – Sunshine Coast – Race 5

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at The Pump House (bm62) at Sunshine Coast and one four-year-old who will be looking to build off a stellar display at this very course a fortnight ago.

Eventually beating SO YOU SHOP by a length over 1200m in a Class 1 meeting earlier in the month, trainer Natalie Mccall will know that her GELDING has the speed to overcome a very wide draw. Also picking up what was a convincing victory at the Gold Coast on another soft track back in September, HELL ON TURF has won two of his last three starts.

Among a favourable line-up at the Sunshine Coast on Thursday morning, it looks on paper that HELL ON TURF stands as the clear pick. Elsewhere, highly-rated with Boris Thornton and with both his wins coming in dry conditions, THE BLACK TIDE could be an outside shot at 47/25 with Coral to land a top-three finish in Queensland.
