With an action-packed midweek schedule of British horse racing, Thursday afternoon offers us a stacked list of meetings from the likes of Haydock, Newcastle, Salisbury and Southwell.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for throughout Thursday.

Betting Tip:AMAZON PRINCESS win – 7/2 @ Bet365

13:00 PM – Salisbury – Race 1

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at the opening meeting at Salisbury and the Class 5 Shadwell Apprentice Handicap on Thursday lunchtime. Returning from a 225-day break back in July, AMAZON PRINCESS finds herself in the midst of an eye-catching purple patch and appears to have really found her feet since joining Tony Newcombe’s stable last year.

Along with returning at Chepstow on July 9th when clinching an impressive silver medal finish in the Best Free Tips At valuerater.co.uk Handicap, many are excited to see the three-year-old make a step up in class after what was a stunning late push at this very track on August 13th.

Despite a stumble at the start, AMAZON PRINCESS claimed victory in the Whiteparish Handicap and should be looking to make it back-to-back wins at Salisbury on Thursday.

Betting Tip:AL RUFAA win – 2/1 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

14:50 PM – Haydock – Race 4

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Haydock and the Class 3 Betfair EBF Conditions Stakes. Only continuing to go from strength to strength since returning from a 252-day break at Newmarket on June 12th, AL RUFAA rightfully opens Thursday’s meeting as a standout pick with the bookmakers.

Receiving a string of praise from trainer John Gosden and seen as a potential budding superstar, the three-year-old was last seen out once again at Newmarket earlier in the month when laying down another marker in the Class 2 Betway Handicap.

Claiming victory in Suffolk and seeing off TOMFRE by two lengths, he has now won his last three starts on the bounce and will be glad to see that jockey Robert Havlin will once again take the saddle at Haydock this week. Lining up among just a five-field line-up on Thursday, a high-flying AL RUFAA should be too strong for the chasing pack.
