With another action-packed schedule of British horse racing on Thursday afternoon, we are offered a host of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Haydock, Doncaster and Chepstow.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for throughout Thursday.

Betting Tip:MARK OF GOLD win – 9/4 @ Paddy Power

15:00 PM – Haydock – Race 5

For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Haydock and the Bet At Handicap on Thursday afternoon. One of just two Class 4 contests to take place in Lancashire, MARK OF GOLD is rightfully seen as a standout pick with the bookmakers and has continued to go from strength to strength since making a debut at Newmarket last June.

Seen as a budding group racer and held in high regard by trainer Richard Hannon, the three-year-old was last seen at Bath on August 19th when putting on a career-best display in the Download The At The Races App Handicap.

Claiming a maiden victory over UTHER PENDRAGON by two and a half lengths, many are excited to see MARK OF GOLD make a step up in class on Thursday afternoon among what should be a favourable line-up at Haydock.

Betting Tip:BELIEVE IN LOVE win – 3/1 @ Ladbrokes

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

15:15 PM – Doncaster – Race 5

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at what is a stacked afternoon at Doncaster and the Class 1 Bet365 Park Hill Fillies’ Stakes. While ALPINISTA (9/4 with William Hill) might open Thursday’s meeting as a marginal top pick with the bookmakers, there is no doubt that a high-flying BELIEVE IN LOVE will be looking to cash in on what has been a stunning purple patch.

Carrying on from where she finished off prior to racing’s enforced break, the three-year-old talent was last seen at Newmarket on August 29th when laying down a stunning marker. Storming to victory in the Close Brothers Premium Finance Handicap and claiming the win by 10 lengths, trainer Roger Varian has now seen his filly claim three wins on the bounce since ending a 139-day break at Goodwood back in July.

Seen as a real budding superstar and the mood in Varian’s stable at a real high, we’re backing BELIEVE IN LOVE to upset the odds of Doncaster this week.
