With the British Horse Racing schedule really starting to heat up ahead of this weekend, Friday offers us a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Newbury, Wolverhampton, and Curragh.
On that note, for those of you who are looking to open the weekend with a flutter, we have found you a couple of helpful tips that are certainly worth keeping an eye out for throughout Friday.
17:55 PM – Newbury – Race 3
For our first Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Newbury and what is a standout meeting on Friday evening. One of just two Class 2 contests to take place across all of England, all eyes will fall on the Watch And Bet With MansionBet At Newbury Handicap this week.
While NETTE ROUSSE (5/1 with Coral) might find himself as a marginal top pick with the bookmakers, a talented AWAY HE GOES will be hoping to carry on from where he left off prior to the break. Forming a really eye-catching partnership with jokey Sean Levey since making a debut performance at Newmarket 11 months ago, trainer Ismail Mohammed saw his four-year-old really impress last time out at Newmarket.
Claiming the victory over ADONIJAH in a Class 3 meeting, it should also be noted that AWAY HE GOES picked up the win in his last trip to Friday’s track. With back-to-back victories prior to the break, he should be looking forward to a step up on his return.
18:40 PM – Curragh – Race 6
For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at what is undoubtedly the pick from across all of Friday’s action.
With the Irish 2,000 Guineas really taking centre stage, it is no surprise that many are excited to see superstar SISKIN make a return to action this week. Last seen back in August when claiming another victory over MONARCH OF EGYPT at Curragh in another Class 1 meeting, the three-year-old has only continued to shine since making his debut at Nas 13 months ago.
Ranked as one of the best juveniles across Europe in 2019, he has won his first four races including the Marble Hill Stakes, Railway Stakes, and Phoenix Stakes. While we may have already seen an unbeaten Guineas favourite turned over in the last week, we’re backing SISKIN to mark his return in some style on Friday.
