British Horse Racing Tips – 13 June 2020

Horse Racing

With what appears to be another stellar weekend of horse racing action from behind closed doors, Saturday offers us a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Newbury, Doncaster, Sandown, and Curragh.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick a flutter on this weekend, we have found a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Saturday.

Betting Tip: TABARRAK win – 6/1 @ 888sport

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

15:35 PM – Newbury – Race 7

For our opening Tip of the Weekend, we take a look at Newbury and the MansionBet’s Beaten By A Head Diomed Stakes.

While KING OF COMEDY (3/1 with Paddy Power) might open Saturday’s meeting as a clear favourite with the bookies, a returning TABARRAK should be smelling an upset this weekend. Last seen at this very track back on September 20th when claiming victory over SIR THOMAS GRESHAM in the Dubai Duty Free Cup Stakes, the seven-year-old was enjoying a bright run prior to the enforced break and will be glad to see Jim Crowley once again take the saddle this weekend.

Including guiding TABARRAK to another Class 1 victory last time out, Crowley has ridden his gelding to the win in three of their last five starts together.

Betting Tip: ALBIGNA win – 2/1 @ Betfair

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

19:15 PM – Curragh – Race 7

For our second Tip of the Weekend, all eyes will unsurprisingly fall on what is a standout Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas at Curragh on Saturday night.

The select Group 1 meeting from across Britain, there is no doubt that the talented ALBIGNA rightfully opens as the bookmakers’ favourite. Bursting onto the scene when making a debut at Curragh 13 months ago and claiming victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, jockey Shane Foley has been filled with praise for his three-year-old in the build-up to this weekend’s return. With three wins in her opening five starts, including back-to-back wins at Curragh last year, with one of those coming in a Class 2 meeting, many are excited to see ALBIGNA in action.

With Jessica Harrington’s horses making a stunning return from the break, we’re backing what should be another statement for the bookies’ pick on Saturday.
