With this weekend’s British horse racing schedule opening up on Friday afternoon, we are offered a host of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Southwell, Newcastle, Cheltenham and Wolverhampton.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a Friday flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for this week.

13:05 PM – Southwell – Race 3

Betting Tip: EL KALDOUN win – 2/1 @ William Hill
*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at Southwell and the Class 4 attheraces.com Novices’ Handicap Chase.

Making a return from an extended 246-day break at Hexham on October 10th, EL KALDOUN certainly laid down a clinical marker and received a string of praise from trainer Nicky Henderson. Rightfully seen as a standout pick on Friday afternoon, the six-year-old stormed to victory in the Class 4 Campbell & Rowley Event Management Novices’ Handicap Chase last month. Seeing off The FERRY MASTER by eight and a half lengths, many are excited to see El Kaldoun back in action again this week.

With jockey Jeremiah McGrath once again taking the saddle on Friday, he should be too strong for the chasing pack at Southwell.

15:00 PM – Cheltenham – Race 4

Betting Tip: EASYSLAND – 10/11 @ Betfair
*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Cheltenham and the Class 2 Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase on Friday.

Only continuing on what was a stunning run of form earlier in the year, many have been waiting for EASYSLAND to make a return to action after seeing off Tiger Roll in the Glenfarclas Chase at this very track back in March. Seen as a standout pick across Brittan this weekend, the six-year-old has remarkably won each of his last six starts on the spin either side of two separate extended breaks.

Forming a stellar relationship with jockey Jonathan Plouganou who will once again take the saddle at Cheltenham on Friday, it should also be noted that EASYSLAND has won each of his two previous trips to Gloucestershire.
