With what promises to be a stellar weekend of racing from behind closed doors, Friday afternoon offers us a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Pontefract, Chepstow, Lingfield and Chester.
On that note, for those of you looking to open the weekend with a flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.
14:40 PM – Chester – Race 3
For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Chester and the Share Shop Nursery Handicap on Friday afternoon.
One of just a handful of Class 3 meetings to take place in the North West, CHASE THE DOLLAR will be hoping to build off of what was a noteworthy maiden victory in just his second start last month. Last seen at Ayr on July 20th when claiming the win in the EBF Stallions CHB Medical First For PPE Supplies Maiden Stakes, Mark Johnston’s two-year-old managed to hold off fellow talent PYTHAGORAS and has a string of admirers.
Making just his third appearance since a debut run in a second-place finish at Musselburgh in the EBF Maiden Stakes, we’re backing CHASE THE DOLLAR to make it back-to-back victories among what appears to be a favourable field at Chester this week.
15:20 PM – Pontefract – Race 7
For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at what promises to be a stacked afternoon of meetings at Pontefract and the Class 4 Moor Top Farm Shop Hemsworth Handicap.
Opening Friday’s meeting as a clear top pick with the bookmakers and with many across Britain once again excited to see him in action again this week, there is no doubt that all eyes will be on REVOLVER. Last seen at Sandown on August 7th when continuing on what has been a stunning run of form, he stormed to victory in the Class 3 Hersham Handicap and it is no surprise he is seen as a budding superstar. In fact, since gaining his Gelded notification back in October of last year, REVOLVER has now claimed has claimed five consecutive victories since making a return from racing’s enforced break.
With one of those wins coming in the Wilfred Underwood Memorial Handicap at Friday’s track back on June 15th, we’re backing a similar outcome for the high-flying three-year-old.
