British Horse Racing Tips – 16 July 2020

Horse Racing

With the midweek schedule of British horse racing action rolling onto Thursday, we are offered a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Sandown, Hamilton and Uttoxeter.

On that note, for those of you out there looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are certainly worth keeping an eye out for throughout Thursday.

Betting Tip: EY UP ITS MICK win – 1/1 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

13:30 PM – Hamilton – Race 3

For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Hamilton and the Class 5 Watch On Racing TV Handicap.

While the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Glasgow Stakes might take centre stage on Thursday afternoon, a high-flying EY UP ITS MICK should be looking to keep up his recent momentum in midweek. Last seen at this very track over the weekend when claiming victory over PEARL OF QATAR in the Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap, the four-year-old is currently in the midst of a real purple patch.

Also marching to the win in the Class 5 Bet365 Handicap at Haydock earlier in the month, there is no doubt that a red-hot EY UP ITS MICK rightfully opens Thursday’s meeting as a standout pick after claiming back-to-back victories.

Betting Tip: FR HUMPHREY win – 4/1 @ William Hill

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

14:45 PM – Uttoxeter – Race 6

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at a stacked day at Uttoxeter and the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Chase.

Continuing to shine since swapping trainers from W F Treacy to Neil Mulholland almost exactly one-year-ago, the 12-year-old was last seen at Huntingdon on November 12th when marching to victory in the Class 3 Integral UK Conditional Jockeys’ Veterans’ Handicap Chase. With two wins in his last three starts, they should also be glad to see that jockey Harry Reed will once again take the saddle in Staffordshire in midweek.

While Ben Case’s KINGS TEMPTATION (6/4 with Betfair) might open Thursday’s meeting as a top pick with the bookmakers after claiming victory at Uttoxeter last time out, we’re backing another victory for FR HUMPHREY this week.
