With another stacked midweek schedule from across British horse racing, Tuesday afternoon offers a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Fontwell, Beverley and Kempton.
On that note, for those of you looking to open the new week with a flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are well worth keeping an eye out for throughout Tuesday.
14:15 PM – Fontwell – Race 2
For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at Fontwell and the Class 4 attheraces.com Novices’ Handicap Chase.
Setting up among a favourable field on Tuesday afternoon, JEN’S BOY should be looking to build off of an eye-catching display last time out. Returning from racing’s enforced break and a 302-day lay off, the six-year-old secured a second-place finish in the Middleham Park Racing Novices’ Handicap Chase at Southwell on July 30th.
Praised by trainer Nicky Henderson after making his return to action, JEN’S BOY also claimed back-to-back victories at Market Rasen and Uttoxeter last year and will undoubtedly be boosted by the news that jockey Nico de Boinville will once again take the saddle for the seventh time in a row at Fontwell on Tuesday afternoon.
15:00 PM – Beverley – Race 5
For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Beverley and the Class 6 Headland Equine Dentistry Handicap.
Despite swapping trainers several times over the past 14 months, it appears that TALK NOW has really found a home at Iain Jardine’s stable. Last seen on July 30th when claiming victory in the Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Classified Stakes at Musselburgh, the five-year-old has impressed since returning from the enforced break. Also coming back from a 265-day extended lay off with a silver medal finish at Ayr in the Class 6 Ayrshire Cancer Support Handicap, many feel that he is currently enjoying the brightest spell of his career.
While late money is also expected to come in for ELDELBAR (5/1 with Bet365), we’re backing TALK NOW to extend on his recent purple patch on Tuesday afternoon.
