Opening up this weekend’s horse racing action on Friday afternoon, we are offered a host of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Hexham, Fontwell, Ascot and Newcastle.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for throughout Friday.

Betting Tip: PIRANESI win – 5/2 @ Paddy Power
*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

13:55 PM – Ascot – Race 1

For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to what is a stacked schedule at Ascot and the Class 3 Berkshire Youth Classified Stakes.

Somewhat bursting onto the scene since securing a third-place finish at Newmarket back on July 11th in the Bet365 Novice Stakes, PIRANESI has certainly gained a long list of admirers and is rightfully seen as a standout pick on Friday afternoon. With famed trainer William Haggas open about his expectations for the promising three-year-old, he has already claimed a first win thanks to victory in the Free Daily Tips On Novice Stakes at Yarmouth on July 28th.

Lining up among what should be a favourable field at Ascot this week, we’re backing a talented PIRANESI to lay down another marker in Berkshire.

Betting Tip: PAGERO win – 9/4 @ William Hill
*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

14:55 PM – Hexham – Race 4

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at Hexham and the Handicap Hurdle on Friday afternoon.

The only Class 3 meeting to take place in Northumberland, PAGERO has only continued to impress since making a return from a 235-day break at Newton Abbot on August 5th. Marking his return to action by claiming victory in the Thrill Of Ownership Handicap Hurdle, trainer Jonjo O’Neill holds his gelding in high regard and will once again take PAGERO’s saddle on Friday afternoon. With the duo forming a very eye-catching partnership and still seen as a budding group racer, the five-year-old was last seen at Fontwell on September 5th when landing a silver medal finish in the Handicap Hurdle.

Entering his extended break with a pair of back-to-back wins, we’re backing PAGERO too be too strong for the chasing pack at Hexham this week.
