With a stacked weekend of British horse racing on the cards, Friday afternoon offers us a host of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Cheltenham, Newbury, Doncaster and Newcastle.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a Friday flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

14:25 PM – Cheltenham – Race 2

Betting Tip: GALVIN win – 9/4 @ William Hill
*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at Cheltenham and the Class 2 Matchbook Better Way To Bet Novices’ Chase on Friday afternoon.

Really enjoying what has been a scintillating purple patch since returning from racing’s enforced break over the summer, GALVIN is rightfully seen as a standout pick in Gloucestershire after another thumping display when claiming victory in the Like A Butterfly Novice Chase at Tipperary on October 4th. Receiving a string of praise from trainer Gordon Elliott, the six-year-old has now won each of his last three starts on the bounce and will be hugely confident of cashing in on this stellar run at Cheltenham.

Enjoying the form of his career and previously claiming a second-place finish at Friday’s track in the Class 1 Northern Trust Company Novices’ Handicap Chase, we’re backing a GALVIN this week.

15:50 PM – Doncaster – Race 6

Betting Tip: ASTRO KING win – 20/21 @ Paddy Power
*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Doncaster and the Class 3 Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap.

While ASTRO KING might be lacking experience, the three-year-old has really burst onto the scene since making a debut at Wolverhampton in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Maiden Stakes on June 10th. Securing a silver medal finish in his maiden run, he is held in extremely high regard by famed trainer Sir Michael Stoute and gained a string of admirers after a very impressive display last time out at Chelmsford on July 4th. With many expected to see him back in action on Friday afternoon, he stormed to victory in the chelmsfordcityracecourse.com Novice Stakes and is seen as a standout pick with the bookmakers this week.

Seen as a budding group racer, it is hard to see anything other than an ASTRO KING win at Doncaster.
