With what is another standout midweek schedule of horse racing action, Wednesday promises us a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Haydock, Windsor and Hamilton.
On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have found you a couple of noteworthy tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on throughout Wednesday.
15:40 PM – Haydock – Race 6
For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at what should be a standout Crank Handicap meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
While BRUNCH (9/2 with Betfair) might open the Class 3 meeting as a marginal top pick with the bookmakers, many should be excited to see LUCANDER make his return in midweek. Last seen at York back on October 12th when claiming victory over CONVICT in the Class 2 Play Correct4 For Free With Coral Nursery Handicap, the three-year-old was showing plenty of promise after making a debut at Linfield 11 months ago.
Also gaining plenty of plaudits after picking up a maiden win at Doncaster in his first Class 2 showing, LUCANDER will also see jockey Harry Bentley take the saddle for their first time since their debut appearance together last year.
19:25 PM – Windsor – Race 6
For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to an eye-catching night of racing at Windsor from behind closed doors.
Swapping trainers from David Evans to David Pipe over the enforced break, LADY RESET once again impressed last time out at Wolverhampton and was starting to make a name for herself after impressive back-to-back Class 5 victories last year. Including beating LONICERA by over two lengths in the AQS – A Quality Cleaning Service Handicap, she should be relishing a trip to Berkshire. Although Marcus Tregoning’s TELL WILLIAM (5/1 with Coral) might open Wednesday’s meeting as a marginal top pick, there is no doubt that a returning LADY RESET should see a real chance in midweek.
Elsewhere, previously claiming victory at Windsor back in August and enjoying a bright run prior to the interruption, BROAD APPEAL (9/1 with Ladbrokes) could be worth a shout for a place finish.
