With another stacked afternoon of British horse racing on Thursday, we are offered a host of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Pontefract, Perth and Newmarket.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for throughout Thursday.

Betting Tip:LOST IN SPACE win – 9/4 @ William Hill

13:50 PM – Newmarket – Race 2

For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Newmarket and what promises to be an exciting Bentley Motors Nursery Handicap on Thursday afternoon.

While LAST SUNSET (15/8 with Coral) might be seen as a standout pick with the bookmakers, it is well worth keeping an eye out for a high-flying LOST IN SPACE. Last seen at this very track laying down what was another marker on August 29th, the two-year-old talent claimed victory in the Close Brothers Motor Finance Nursery Handicap and many are excited to see a step up in class in Suffolk. Held in high regard by trainer John Gosden, LOST IN SPACE has only continued to go from strength to strength since making a debut at Yarmouth back in June.

Traveling back to Newmarket on a real high, we’re backing another fruitful afternoon for the Gosden stable in midweek.

Betting Tip:DARK JEDI win – 13/8 @ Ladbrokes
*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

14:40 PM – Pontefract – Race 5

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at Pontefract and the William Hill Lengthen #YourOdds Handicap and the only Class 2 contest to take place in West Yorkshire on Thursday afternoon.

Lining up among a favourable field in midweek, DARK JEDI has continued to impress since returning from racing’s enforced break and is rightfully seen as a standout pick this week. Putting in another impressive display last time out at Haydock on September 5th when finishing second in the Betfair Exchange Old Borough Cup Handicap, the four-year-old is seen as a budding group racer by trainer Tim Easterby.

Already claiming victories at the likes of Ripon and Hamilton since moving from Charles Hills’ stable back in May, DARK JEDI should be confident of extending on his purple patch on Thursday afternoon.
