With what promises to be another action-packed weekend of British horse racing from behind closed doors, we are offered a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of York, Newmarket, Ascot and Doncaster.
On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for this weekend.
14:05 PM – York – Race 4
For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to York and what appears to be an exciting Skybet Britain’s Most Popular Online Bookmaker EBF Stallions Fillies’ Handicap.
While Award Scheme (11/4 with Ladbrokes) might open Saturday’s meeting as a top pick with the bookmakers, we are taking a look at a high-flying DAWAAWEEN. Really starting to shine since swapping trainers from Owen Burrows to James Bethell back in May, the four-year-old really impressed since making back-to-back appearances at Hamilton over the past month.
Stepping up in class once again this weekend and claiming the win in the Palmaris Services Fillies’ Handicap on June 24th, there is no doubt that you should keep an eye out for an always improving DAWAAWEEN in his maiden outing at York this weekend.
14:40 PM – York – Race 5
For our second Tip of the Day, we once again stay in North Yorkshire and look at the Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes.
Really putting in what was a stunning display in the La Coupe at Longchamp on June 25th and storming to the win by four lengths, it is no surprise that many are once again excited to see TELECASTER in action. With the four-year-old claiming his first post-lockdown victory last time out, trainer Hughie Morrison also saw his colt previous pick up the win in his last trip to York. Winning the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante Stakes in convincing fashion, TELECASTER should be looking to make it back-to-back wins this weekend.
While ELARQAM (5/2 with Bet365) might open Saturday’s meeting as a standout pick with the bookmakers, we’re backing a successful afternoon for the Morrison stable.
