British Horse Racing Tips – 26 June 2020

Horse Racing

With the horse racing action from across Britain rolling onto Friday, the likes of Doncaster, Newmarket, Lingfield and Curragh offer us what should be a string of noteworthy meetings entering the weekend.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick a flutter on what should be a tremendous day of racing in the sun, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Friday.

Betting Tip: HAN SOLO BERGER win – 11/2 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

13:10 PM – Newmarket – Race 1

For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Newmarket and the Class 4 Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap meeting.

Marking his return from an eight month lay off and laying down a real marker at Kempton on June 3rd, there is certainly plenty off buzz around what appears to be an improving HAN SOLO BERGER. Claiming the win at Kempton after beating the talented MAY REMAIN in the Class 4 Unibet Money Back Free Bet If Second Handicap, he has now picked up the victory in three of his last five starts. Trainer Chris Wall will also be boosted by his gelding’s most recent trips to Newmarket. Marching to the win in the Price Bailey Newmarket Office Handicap last year, many are expecting him to make a similar statement this week.

While Mick Quinn’s COLONEL FRANK (10/3 with Ladbrokes) might open Friday’s meeting as a top pick with the bookmakers, we’re backing a high-flying HAN SOLO BERGER to land back-to-back wins in Suffolk.

Betting Tip: SAMPERS SEVEN win – 6/4 @ Coral

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

17:00 PM – Lingfield – Race 2

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at Lingfield and what is a competitive Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap.

Since swapping trainers from Micheal Halford to Michael Appleby a smidge over a year ago, SAMPERS SEVEN had gained plenty of admirers earlier in the year and the three-year-old has found himself enjoying a real purple patch since returning from racing’s enforced break. Last seen at Chelmsford back on June 16th when claiming victory over ZULU ZANDER by three lengths in the Class 5 tote Placepot Your First Bet Today Handicap, SAMPERS SEVEN has appeared to enjoy the step up in class.

Making a return to action with what was an eye-catching second-place finish when just nicked at the post by LIVE IN THE MOMENT, there is no doubt that the potential Group racer is seen to be one of the standout picks at Lingfield on Friday evening.
