With the British horse racing schedule rolling onto Tuesday afternoon, we are offered a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Goodwood, Ayr and Yarmouth.
On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for throughout Tuesday.
15:15 PM – Goodwood – Race 5
For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at what is undoubtedly the standout meeting at Goodwood on Tuesday afternoon.
With all eyes falling on the Group 1 Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup Stakes, there is no doubt that many across the British horse racing scene are excited to see STRADIVARIUS back in action in midweek. Seen as a real superstar, the six-year-old was last seen at Ascot on June 18th when making yet another statement. Marching to the victory last month in the Gold Cup after beating NAYEF ROAD by a stunning 10 length gap, the mood in trainer John Gosden’s stable remains at a real high.
Emerging as a world-class stayer and also claiming victory at Tuesday’s track when winning the Goodwood Cup, there is no doubt that STRADIVARIUS should be too strong for the chasing pack in midweek.
15:30 PM – Ayr – Race 7
For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Ayr and the Class 3 QTS Sponsor The Ayr Gold Cup Handicap on Tuesday afternoon.
The standout pick in Scotland in midweek, track specialist GLASSES UP will be looking to cash in on what has been a real purple patch since returning from racing’s enforced break. Last seen at this very course on June 20th when claiming victory in the Class 4 Thanks To NHS And Frontline Workers Handicap, many are excited to see the five-year-old make another step up on Tuesday. With two victories in two of his last three starts and making three straight appearances at Ayr, GLASSES UP also gained plenty of plaudits after his display in the Class 3 CPMS Handicap last month.
While the likes of MASTER THE STARS (10/3 with Ladbrokes) might open Tuesday’s meeting as a top pick, don’t be surprised to see GLASSES UP cause a real upset in midweek.
