With another action-packed weekend of British horse racing on the cards, Saturday offers us a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Newmarket, Goodwood, Windsor and Wexford.

On that note, for those of you looking to open the weekend with a flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for throughout Saturday.

Betting Tip: EVENING SUN win – 7/2 @ Ladbrokes

14:45 PM – Newmarket – Race 5

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at a stacked afternoon at Newmarket and the Class 3 Close Brothers Asset Management Handicap.

Opening Saturday’s meeting as a standout pick with the bookmakers, EVENING SUN has continued to impress since making a debut appearance at Newbury last September. Held in high regard and seen as a budding group racer by trainer Roger Charlton, the three-year-old was last seen at this very track on August 8th when claiming a very eye-catching second-place finish when stepping up to the Class 2 Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap earlier in the month.

Marking his return from racing’s enforced interruption and a 247-day break, EVENING SUN claimed victory at Newmarket on June 26th when storming to victory in the Betway Casino Novice Stakes and should be confident of extending on his purple patch this weekend.

Betting Tip: CABALETTA win – 11/8 @ William Hill

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

15:00 PM – Goodwood – Race 4

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Goodwood and the Group 3 Ladbrokes March Stakes.

Only lining up among a four-horse field on Saturday afternoon, many are excited to see CABALETTA back in action after clinching a silver medal finish at this very track on August 1st. Really bursting onto the scene and laying down a marker when making a debut run at Yarmouth on October 22nd before a 235-day break, she claimed victory in the British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes and has only gone from strength to strength under trainer Roger Varian.

Already marking her return to action with another win in the Bet365 Aphrodite Fillies’ Stakes at Newbury last month, CABALETTA should be too strong for the chasing pack at Goodwood this weekend.
