British Horse Racing Tips – 29 July 2020

Horse Racing

With another action-packed midweek schedule of British horse racing from behind closed doors, we are promised a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Goodwood, Thirsk and Bangor-on-Dee.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for throughout Wednesday.

Betting Tip: SISKIN win – 9/4 @ Paddy Power

15:15 PM – Goodwood – Race 5

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at what promises to be a stellar Qatar Sussex Stakes in midweek and one superstar who will rightfully take centre stage.

Marking his return in empathic fashion and marching to victory in the Irish 2,000 Guineas at Curragh on June 12th, it is no surprise that many across Britain are excited to see SISKIN in action on Wednesday. Regarded as one of the best juveniles in Europe in 2019 and only going from strength to strength since making a debut at Naas last year, the three-year-old is seen as a clear standout pick with the bookmakers in midweek. Already claiming wins in the likes of the Marble Hill Stakes, Railway Stakes and Phoenix Stakes in his short tenure, the Thoroughbred has now won all five of his stars.

Forming a stellar partnership with Colin Keane, SISKIN should prove to once again be too strong for the chasing pack on Wednesday.

Betting Tip: MANSHOOD win – 7/2 @ Ladbrokes

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

17:00 PM – Thirsk – Race 2

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Thirsk and take a look at the Class 4 Sky Bet Most Extra Place Races Handicap on Wednesday evening.

Really gaining a string of praise from trainer Paul Midgley since making a return from racing’s enforced break, MANSHOOD finds himself enjoying a real purple patch. Coming off the back of a 240-day break, the seven-year-old made a return at Hamilton when claiming the win in the Class 4 Patersons Of Greenoakhill Handicap on June 24th. Building off of that performance, MANSHOOD also impressed with his most recent showing at Newcastle earlier in the month.

Finishing a respectable second behind MUTABAAHY in the Visit Handicap, he should be looking to extend on his purple patch in midweek.
