British Horse Racing Tips – 3 June 2020

Horse Racing

With British horse racing really getting back into the swing of things after making its return to action earlier in the week, Wednesday afternoon promises us a string of noteworthy meetings from both Yarmouth and Kempton.

On that note, for those of you who are looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are certainly worth keeping an eye out for on Wednesday.

Betting Tip: MERWEB win – 4/1 @ William Hill

15:20 PM – Kempton – Race 5

For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Kempton and the Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day Handicap meeting in midweek.

Last seen back in February and gaining a long list of admirers prior to the enforced break, MERWEB should be relishing another trip back to Sussex on Wednesday. Despite falling short against a talented RIVER DAWN at Linfield in his last start, the five-year-old once again showed plenty of promise and has continued to gain a reputation as a track specialist at Kempton. Finishing within touching distance of HIERONYMUS in another Class 5 meeting in Surrey back in January, MERWEB has landed back-to-back second-place finishes at Wednesday’s course and is rightfully seen to be one of the leading picks at Kempton.

While GOSSIPING (10/3 with Betfair) might be a marginal top pick with the bookmakers, we’re backing a return to winning ways for trainer Heather Main.

Betting Tip: DIVA KAREEM win – 5/1 @ Coral

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

17:25 PM – Yarmouth – Race 9

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at a returning Yarmouth and what should be an exciting Class 5 Betway Handicap behind closed doors.

Although a highly-touted DIVA KAREEM might still be waiting to pick up a maiden victory, trainer George Baker saw his three-year-old once again impress at Epsom in her last start back in July. Despite eventually finishing three lengths behind INDIAN CREAK a little under 11 months ago, DIVA KAREEM has landed a top-three finish in all three of her starts since making a debut at Kempton almost exactly one year ago.

Although Roger Varian’s IKEBANA (4/1 with Paddy Power) might be seen as a marginal top pick with the bookmakers, we’re backing DIVA KAREEM to pick up a maiden win at Yarmouth in midweek.
