British Horse Racing Tips – 4 June 2020

Horse Racing

With what promises to be yet another action-packed schedule from behind closed doors this week, all eyes will once again be on British horse racing which takes centre stage at both Newcastle and Newmarket on Thursday afternoon.

On that note, for those of you who are looking to stick on a flutter this week, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of noteworthy tips that are certainly worth looking out for on Thursday.

Betting Tip: GINGER JAM win – 5/1 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

17:20 PM – Newmarket – Race 8

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at a returning Newmarket and the Play 4 To Win At Betway Handicap (Div II) meeting.

Making a step up to Class 4 this week after enjoying what was a sensational run prior to the enforced break, GINGER JAM will be looking to carry on from where he left off 11 months ago. Last seen at Beverley when putting on a clinical finish to claim victory in the Mcclarron Insurance Supports Antibiotic Research UK Handicap by almost a length, trainer Nigel Tinker has now seen his gelding remarkably pick up the win in each of his last four consecutive starts.

While Ed Vaughn’s MAGIC J (7/4 with Coral) might mark Newmarket’s return as the favourite with the bookmakers, we’re backing GINGER JAM to make it five wins in as many starts on Thursday evening.

Betting Tip: NATALEENA win – 3/1 @ Bet365

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

17:40 PM – Newcastle – Race 9

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Newcastle and the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap Class 6 meeting.

Gaining a long list of admirers prior to the enforced break, many are excited by NATALEENA ‘S return on Thursday and the four-year-old appears to be a marginal top pick with the bookmakers. Last seen at this very track back in March when putting in an eye-catching display and finishing just a length behind NEARLY THREE in what was a competitive field, trainer Ben Haslam has seen NATALEENA gain a reputation as a budding track specialist at Newcastle.

With each of her last eight consecutive starts taking place at Thursday’s course, the midweek favourite has landed two victories in those eight appearances, including the win in the Betway Handicap when opening 2020.
