With a stacked weekend schedule of British horse racing getting underway on Friday afternoon, we are offered a host of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Ascot, Thirsk, Haydock and Sedgefield.

On that note, for those of you looking to open the weekend with a flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of tips that are well worth keeping an eye out for throughout Friday.

Betting Tip:TEMPUS win – 11/4 @ William Hill

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

16:50 PM – Ascot – Race 6

For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Ascot and the Beefeater Handicap on Friday afternoon. One of just a pair of Class 2 meetings to take place in Berkshire, TEMPUS will be looking to build off of an eye-catching return to action at Newbury on August 15th and finally put together a much-needed run of form.

Still held in extremely high regard by trainer Roger Charlton, the four-year-old ended another extended break with victory in the Class 2 Unibet You’re On Handicap last month and should be too strong for the chasing pack at Ascot this week.

Elsewhere, also enjoying what has been a real purple patch after back-to-back victories in June, it could be worth keeping an eye out for GIN PALACE (7/1 with Bet365) on an each-way shout.

Betting Tip:CHOCOLAT NOIR win – 13/8 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

18:00 PM – Sedgefield – Race 4

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to the evening session at Sedgefield and the Class 3 Sky Sports Racing Handicap Hurdle. Carrying on from where she left off prior to a 249-day break, CHOCOLAT NOIR once again stole the show last time out in Perth on August 11th and the seven-year-old has continued to impress since making a step up in class.

Romping to victory in the Thank You Auto Services Perth Handicap Hurdle and seeing off CRAIGMOR by almost four lengths, CHOCOLAT NOIR has now claimed back-to-back wins and is rightfully seen as the standout pick at Sedgefield on Friday evening.

Among just a five-horse line-up this week, there is no doubt that the Martin Todhunter stable should be confident of making it three in three.
