With what is a standout weekend of racing from behind closed doors, the action rolls onto Sunday and what promises to be a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of Haydock, Sandown and Doncaster.
On that note, for those of you looking to close the weekend with a flutter, we have found you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Sunday.
14:05 PM – Haydock – Race 5
For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at what is a fantastic afternoon at Haydock and the Class 2 Bet365 Handicap.
Really laying down a marker since returning from racing’s enforced break, it is no surprise that there is plenty of buzz around JELLYSTONE. Last seen at Kempton on June 15th when claiming victory over ANGEL ON HIGH in the Unibet Handicap, the three-year-old has landed back-to-back wins since returning at Yarmouth last month. Marching to that victory at Yarmouth by beating EVENTFUL by a smidge over seven lengths, the talented gelding is seen as a budding group racer.
While William Haggas’ FAVORITE MOON (11/4 with Ladbrokes) might open Sunday’s meeting as a top pick with the bookmakers, we’re backing a high-flying JELLYSTONE to make it three on the bounce this weekend.
16:35 PM – Sandown – Race 7
For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at what is a stacked card of group meetings at Sandown this weekend.
Turning our attention to the penultimate race on Sunday, the Class 2 Coral Racing Super Series Fillies’ Handicap is certainly one to keep an eye out for. Continuing to build off of what was an eye-catching run of form prior to racing’s enforced break, TULIP FIELDS has only gone from strength to strength since returning to action last month. Last seen at Newmarket on June 19th when claiming the win in the Betway Fillies’ Handicap, the three-year-old really burst onto the scene when marking her return at Goodwood and picking up a maiden victory in a Class 4 contest.
Really rising through the ranks and showing some real promise under trainer Mark Johnston, TULIP FIELDS will travel to Sandown filled with confidence.
