British Horse Racing Tips – 6 June 2020

Horse Racing

With what promises to be a stellar weekend of action from across Britain, horse racing fans are being treated to a string of eye-catching meetings from Newcastle, Newmarket, and Lingfield.

On that note, for those of you who are looking to stick on a flutter this weekend, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of noteworthy tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Saturday afternoon.

Betting Tip: PALACE PIER win – 10/11 @ William Hill

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

15:15 PM – Newcastle – Race 5

For our opening Tip of the Weekend, we take a look at the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap meeting at Newcastle and one three-year-old who will have all eyes on him at Newcastle.

Really gaining a string of admirers prior to the enforced break, many are excited to see PALACE PIER make a return to action after last being seen at Sandown back in September. Along with announcing himself to British racing fans with a maiden win on debut at Sandown last year, Saturday’s favourite also put in a stellar display in Esher. Marching to victory in the Max Patel Wealth Manager Of Choice Novice Stakes and beating MARS LANDING by four and a half lengths, it is no surprise trainer John Gosden is expecting huge things from his three-year-old.

Appearing to have too much for the rest of the field at Newcastle this weekend, there is no doubt a talented PALACE PIER should be looking to make it three wins on the bounce on his return to action.

Betting Tip: PINATUBO win – 20/21 @ Coral

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

15:35 PM – Newmarket – Race 5

For our second Tip of the Weekend, we turn our attention to Newmarket and one of the few Group 1 contests to take place on Saturday afternoon.

With what has all the makings of a stellar Qipco 2000 Guineas Stakes meeting, there is no doubt that PINATUBO is one of the standout picks across all racing this weekend. Beginning his electric career at an evening meeting at Wolverhampton back in May, the three-year-old has only gone from strength to strength and is seen as a real superstar. Last seen at Saturday’s course a little under nine months ago, he claimed victory over ARIZONA in another Group 1 meeting by two lengths.

In fact, winning each of his six starts since making his debut last year, PINATUBO became Timeform’s highest-rated juvenile for 25 years and the super talented three-year-old should be looking to make it seven in seven at Newmarket this weekend.
