British Horse Racing Tips – 7 June 2020

Horse Racing

With British horse racing really starting to return to the swing of things following a return to action from behind closed doors, Sunday promises us a string of noteworthy meetings from Haydock, Newmarket, and Lingfield.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick a flutter on this weekend, we have found you a couple of helpful tips that are certainly worth keeping an eye out for on Sunday.

Betting Tip: QUADRILITERAL win – 11/4 @ Paddy Power

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

15:35 PM – Newmarket – Race 5

For our opening Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Newmarket and what is undoubtedly one of the standout fixtures across Britain this weekend.

With all eyes on the second Classic of the season in the Qipco 1000 Guineas Stakes, the ever-impressive QUADRILITERAL will really take centre stage on Sunday. Last seen at this very track when claiming victory over POWERFUL BREEZE in another Group 1 meeting back in October, the three-year-old has continued to go from strength to strength since making a debut at Newbury last year. In fact, QUADRILITERAL has claimed the win in each of her three starts and rightfully makes her return as a standout pick.

Given the huge buzz around her, we’re backing trainer Roger Charlton to secure a first Classic win since 1990 in what should be a stellar meeting at Newmarket this weekend.

Betting Tip: RAJMAN win – 5/1 @ William Hill

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

16:35 PM – Lingfield – Race 7

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at Lingfield and the Class 6 Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap meeting this weekend.

While RAJMAN might have last been seen putting in a sluggish display at Kempton back in February, the four-year-old was enjoying an eye-catching run prior to the enforced break. Including picking up the victory at Kempton over ITMAKESYOUTHINK in the Wise Betting At racingtv.com Handicap, trainer Tom Clover has now seen his colt claim the win in two of his last four starts. It should also be noted, RAJMAN has previously enjoyed his trips to Lingfield, claiming the victory at Sunday’s course in another Class 6 meeting back in January 2019.

While John Gallagher’s RIVAS ROB (7/2 with Betfair) might open Sunday’s meeting as the top pick with the bookmakers, we’re backing RAJMAN to mark his return with victory at Lingfield.
