With a standout weekend of meetings from across Britain, Saturday afternoon offers us a string of noteworthy contests from the likes of Newmarket, Haydock, Ascot and Cork.

On that note, for those of you looking to open this weekend’s schedule with a flutter, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Betting Tip: GLOBAL GIANT win – 6/5 @ Paddy Power

14:40 PM – Haydock – Race 5

For our opening Tip of the Day, we take a look at a stacked afternoon at Haydock and what should be an exciting Class 1 BetVictor Rose Of Lancaster Stakes.

Rightfully opening Saturday’s meeting as a top pick with the bookmakers, GLOBAL GIANT has continued to impress since returning from the enforced break and appears to be enjoying life under trainer John Gosden since joining his renowned stable back in December. Last seen at Newbury on July 19th when claiming the victory in the Bet365 Steventon Stakes, the five-year-old is seen as a real star and has now claimed the win in two of his last three starts.

Also claiming victory at Wolverhampton last year in the Class 2 Betway Conditions Stakes and glad to see Hall of Fame jockey Frankie Dettori once again take the saddle on Saturday, we’re backing another fruitful afternoon for GLOBAL GIANT.

Betting Tip: WISE GLORY win – 3/1 @ 888sport

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

16:10 PM – Ascot – Race 7

For our second Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to Ascot and the Class 3 Alistair Haggis Memorial Handicap.

Among what is a formidable line-up on Saturday afternoon, it is well worth keeping an eye out for a high-flying WISE GLORY. Last seen in yet another Class 3 contest at Newmarket on July 10th and claiming victory in the Cash Out At bet365 Handicap, the training duo of Simon & Ed Crisford have been filled with praise for the three-year-old talent. Also marking his return from racing’s enforced break with victory at Leicester on June 25th in the Welcomm Communications Maiden Stakes, the mood in the Crisford stable is at a high.

While GRAND BAZAAR (2/1 with William Hill) might open Saturday’s meeting as a standout pick with the bookmakers when making another step up in class this weekend, we’re backing WISE GLORY to make it three in three at Ascot.
