British Horse Racing Tips – 9 July 2020

Horse Racing

With British horse racing continuing from behind closed doors in midweek, Thursday offers a string of noteworthy meetings from the likes of York, Newmarket and Chepstow.

On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have found you a couple of helpful tips that are certainly worth keeping an eye out for on Thursday.

Betting Tip: HIGHEST GROUND win – 20/21 @ Coral

15:15 PM – York – Race 6

For our first Tip of the Day, we turn our attention to York and what is an exciting Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Dante Stakes on Thursday afternoon.

With what is a glittering reputation and seen to be a budding superstar, there is no doubt that all eyes will be on a talented HIGHEST GROUND in midweek. Making another statement when returning from racing’s enforced break at Haydock on June 24th, he romped to victory in the Racecourse Live Streams On Racing TV Novice Stakes.

Held in high-regard by famed trainer Sir Michael Stoute, the three-year-old has recorded back-to-back victories in what has been a maiden campaign for the speedy colt, HIGHEST GROUND opens up his first trip to York as a clear standout pick with the bookmakers and should be too strong for the chasing pack.

Betting Tip: ENBIHAAR win – 9/4 @ William Hill

*Odds are correct at time of writing and are subject to change without prior notice.

16:10 PM – Newmarket – Race 8

For our second Tip of the Day, we take a look at what is the final meeting of a stacked afternoon at Newmarket on Thursday.

Last seen at Longchamp back on October 5th when putting in a stunning display and clinching a third-place finish in the Group 1 Qatar Prix de Royallieu, many across the country are excited to see ENBIHAAR make her return. Seen as a clear pick with the bookmakers on Thursday after what was a stunning run of form prior to the enforced break, the five-year-old landed three wins on the bounce at Doncaster, Goodwood and Haydock last year. Only failing to secure a top-three finish in one of her eight runs since a debut at Chelmsford back in 2018, ENBIHAAR rightfully has plenty of buzz around her.

Elsewhere, also gaining back-to-back victories last year, including a victory at Newmarket in the Darley Prix de Pomone, DAME MALLIOT (10/1 with Paddy Power) is worth a shout to land a place finish.
